About Angelique Foster

I am the Conservative Candidate for Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire County and Derby City. I studied both French Law in Lyon and English Law in London before gaining a Masters degree in Commercial and International Law at Sheffield University. After working for a number of small businesses in Sheffield, I moved to Derbyshire 19 years ago to start a family. I was first elected as a Town and District Councillor for Dronfield in 2011 and then later as a County Councillor for Derbyshire County Council. I am currently the Leader of Dronfield Town Council and a Cabinet Member at Derbyshire County Council. My portfolio includes the Finance, Legal, Property, HR and IT departments and has a combined budget of £46 million.

I have been at the forefront of providing strong leadership to reform public services. I have led on prudent budgeting and robust financial management to provide excellent services to residents while keeping control of costs.

If elected, I will apply the same principles in setting the Police budget and ensuring policing is delivered effectively across Derbyshire County and Derby City. I am keen to represent local residents’ concerns wherever they live and ensure they get the high standards of policing they need.
